Together with Dycotec Materials Limited, we have just been awarded a Sustainable Innovation Fund (SIF) Round 3 grant from Innovate UK to protect flexible conductors in tyres (PROFIT).  

This grant is designed to develop techniques and barrier layer materials which will:

1. Protect sensitive, flexible, conductive, interconnects and electronic devices against the effects of sulphur within the rubber, during and post vulcanisation

2. Be tough, but flexible

3. Be compatible with tyre materials and bond well to other materials and compound present with the tag and tyre.

The grant is for three months beginning January 2021 and can be extended to six months.
