Silent Sensors and Dycotec Materials are pleased to announce that they have completed the PROFIT grant and produced a number of prototype tags now in testing with our commercial partners for functionality and durability.

PROFIT produced techniques and barrier layer materials which have protected the flexible conductive printed inks against the effects of sulphur expected during and post vulcanisation in a tyre.

Silent Sensors’ MD Sharon Boyes-Schiller says,  “These new materials are used together with an additive printing process on flexible substrates in the next generation of RFID tags beyond our ONTRACK grant, and we are very excited by the possibilities for multiple uses beyond RFID tags that this work brings to us.”
