University of Groningen, Groningen
19-21 June 2018
The International Physical Internet Conference this year has been hosted by the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Silent Sensors had been selected as one of eight companies to pitch for the IPIC Physical Internet Venture of the Year. COO Sharon Boyes-Schiller represented Silent Sensors at the event. She had ten minutes to present why our OnTrack tags and the Silent ecosystem make the objectives of the Physical Internet possible.
Sharon’s presentation was well received and we finished third overall. First place company went to a Dutch venture from Delft Technical University, and the second place company was from Shanghai, China. This truly was an international conference! As a result of this presentation, Sharon has been asked to join two committees working on the Physical Internet, one for Autonomous Vehicles and one on Green Transport. Silent Sensors is proud to be at the leading edge of PI technology.
